SPACE PR 350 B
PR350B is Thule Audio's new state-of-the-art pre-amplifier and surround processor.
The PR350B has up to ten output
channels and contains all the latest decoding formats:
DTS ES 6.1, DTS 24/96, Dolby EX 6.1 and Dolby ProLogic
IIx.
Decoding is based on the latest Motorola DSP56367 chip with 150MIPS and 48-bit internal processing. Also featured are Burr Brown PCM1738 high-end 24bit/192kHz D/A converters.
Many new DTS DVD-releases are recorded
with 24-bit resolution, like "Gladiator", "Jurassic
Park III", "Pearl Harbour", and "Moulin
Rouge". Due to its amazing processing power, the
PR350B can decode DTS 24-bit stream to give virtually
the same sound quality and dynamic range as DVD-Audio.
The PR350B will display the encoded DTS bit-resolution,
when locked on a DTS stream.
PR350B can also produce side channels by blending front and rear signals into an extra matrix signal (please see "Thule Audio surround setups" for further explanation). Side channels are especially useful in large rooms for a more homogenous sound effect movement between front and rear.
The PR350B is also a high-end balanced pre-amplifier. By using the Pure Audio input, all analogue signals bypass the DSP directly to the volume control for a short untainted signal path. It has a 6-channel Pure Audio input e.g. for a DVD-Audio player, or a two-channel balanced input for use with e.g. a DVA150B player upgraded with our DIGIT II 24-bit/192kHz upsampling board.
Easy useability is ensured through
the enclosed standard remote control. PR350B can also
be integrated into a home automation system via its RS232
connection.
The PR350B has zone 2 output, which can control audio
equipment in other rooms.
PR350B offers high quality S-video
and composite video switching with On Screen Display as
standard.
The integrated V350 video switching board can switch and
upconvert composite and S-video signals into RGB or component
video, meaning just one single videocable is required
to connect everything to your TV or projector.
